As for the matte effect, the preset applies several more adjustments to light and dark tones. It softens highlights, lightens shadows, and brightens both black and white. To moderate the tones, contrast is also decreased.
Produces Light and Vivid Blues to Emphasize Warmer Elements
Clear Blues. This preset works best on outdoor photos with a lot of sky in the background. This serves as the base or backdrop of all the warmer elements in the photograph. For this purpose, the preset softens the blue tones with a decrease in luminance. Saturation is also increased to intensify the complementary tones.
Let us now examine the above After photo to see how Fabulous Weekend makes details pop. It increases both clarity and sharpening: we can see more of the woman’s hair and facial expression. Notice, too, how you can see more of the golden field now.
Heightens Contrasting Hues
High-Contrast. The preset has several more adjustments to color, generated from custom tone curves. It has particular settings in the RGB channels and highlights.
The last example above is a demonstration of Fabulous Weekend preset’s fine-tuning — you can also observe more clearly that it is inspired by the orange and teal style.
Yet it is different. In addition to the mentioned added warmth and texture, the preset applies more detailed tweaks to it. Some green color saturation is deceased to moderate hues, while warm color luminance is boosted to make the foreground pop more against the soft blue backdrop.
