Warm All Over produces rich monochrome images with a twist. This is not your typical black and white preset! Its monochrome look incorporates warm tones on its highlights, shadows, and color luminance.
This preset is perfect for portraits or landscapes, as it creates a classic vintage vibe with a touch of warm tones. You can use it to add a classic yet dramatic feel. Its aesthetic alone can already help make any portrait even more expressive.
Warm All Over also works so well as an Instagram filter! It looks stunning when applied across multiple photos, and when setting the look of an entire feed.
Sets a Warm and Radiant Monochrome Aesthetic
Glowing Skin Tones. The Warm All Over preset adds rich warm brown tones in its highlights and shadows. The result is a perfect blend of black and gray pigments with rich brown undertones. We love how it illuminates skin tones, which is something we can see in the After photo above. With these custom settings, the woman in the photo gains this glowing, ethereal, look and feel.
Creates a Clear, Bright, Classic Film Look
Romantic Scene. The preset switches to black and white mode treatment before applying its custom adjustments. The preset adjusts its tone curve by increasing whites and reducing darks. Through this, the monochrome image appears brighter and keeps lighter colors vibrant and highlighted. The preset also adds some vignetting to frame the photo and construct a focal point in the image.
The example above shows how the light elements of the rendered photo come out as soft bright whites. This gives a soft contrast to the dark pigments of the black elements. The vignette also brings that attention to the couple, forming a romantic, classic overall look.
Focused Subject. The focus on the woman drastically changes in the After photo, framing her as the clear subject. This is enhanced through lighting adjustments, reducing darks and increasing lights to create a faded background. A vignette is also added to darken and round edges to complete the framed look.
The After photo also presents more texture as seen on the woman’s hair and the grass. Through this, you can now visualize smaller details. The image also doesn’t skimp on brightness, as the light elements blend with the mix of gray tones and elevates the overall monochrome image.
Defines Subtle Textures
Textured Landscapes. The preset’s decreasing its highlights results in subtle details appearing with more defined textures. This is perfectly seen through the photo above, as the sand in the After photo becomes more apparent. You can also see how it has patches of textured shadows that create subtle contrast in the image.
Some colors also change in vibrance such as the aqua tones of the sea. Look at how it translates into subdued gray tones, giving that smooth monochrome look.
Refined Colors. The preset reduces and increases certain color luminance in the black and white mix channel, these particularly include blue and green tones. This means some green hues may appear darker and vibrant, and some blue tones can seem desaturated once translated into the monochrome spectrum.
You can particularly see this in the example above that the green elements such as the sweater and glare of the sunglasses create a darker solid look. But if you notice, the woman and man’s trousers seem more desaturated in color. The preset brings out much texture and character.
