Creates Warm Skin Tones
Sunny Day. The Vintage Vixen preset adds green and brown tones in its shadows. This means having some tones appear to be brighter and vivid once the preset is applied. The photo above shows how the woman’s skin tone changes in a tanner shade in the After image compared to the Before photo. Here you see how the photo did not necessarily become brighter, but since the brown pigments on the shadows are applied, it creates peachy skin tones and brings out warm tones on darker elements.
Creates Warm and Cool Tone Balance
Warm and Cool. The rendered image above gives a visual balance of calm and warmth. The evident color detail is seen through the vibrance of the woman’s hair and top. The woman’s hair and top perceive like it was illuminated by the sun, bringing out soft orange highlights and a vivid red tone. These color changes perfectly complement the cool hushed tones of her denim pants and the gray tones of the sky. With the tones complementing each other, the preset creates a warm retro style.
Adds a Subtle Grainy Look On Your Images
Beach Fun. It is quite evident to see the skin color transformation of the boy in the After photo. Here, the boy’s skin appears to be rather orange than brown, which complements his blue shirt. The overall blue tones of the image are now faded and reveal more texture.
The preset reduces color saturation, highlights, and adding haze and fade effect to create that grainy film style. You can see the result throughout the After photo above.
Helps Reveal Small Details
Highway. The Vintage Vixen preset desaturates tones and lessens whites and highlights. This makes some elements look lighter and faded, creating a film matte look. In the example above, notice how some colors change once the preset is applied. In the After photo, you can see how the color of the trees changes. They appear lighter in shade, making the overall image look less dense and calm.
The texture is also heightened as you can see more details of the grass, trees, and mountains by the added grain, and increase in sharpening.
Frames Focus on Images
Background Focus. The preset adds certain effects such as a fade and grain to achieve the look and texture of an old school photo. These effects also help create a focus on certain parts of the image. You can see that in the example above, looking closely at the After photo, the subject of the image seems to shift the background rather on the car. The mountains look textured yet clear and create a statement, rather than the car which is now slightly blurred.
