Enhanced Floral Tattoo on Woman's Right Arm

Tattoo Artist

Tattoo Artist is a free Lightroom preset that was designed specifically for showcasing tattoos in photography. It boosts colors and reveals more details. If you are a tattoo artist yourself, this preset is perfect for presenting your works in an online portfolio, or various social media accounts like Facebook and Instagram. Other enhancements are applied to make sure that the focus of the image are the designs themselves.

Adds Vibrance to Your Inks

Make Colors Pop. The inks in the After photo are considerably more vibrant. The wild cat design now has bolder lines and a stronger color accent. The eye is yellower, the fangs are more defined, and the ear is more intricately shaded. With the boost in clarity, outlines are more apparent, and more colors appear more vivid throughout the entire tattoo. The ink appears punchy and no longer dull or washed out. Notice how the tattooed arm is now the primary focus of the image, and how much more attractive it is overall.

Warms Photos to Complement Vivid Tattoos

Warm Boost. With the boost in contrast and saturation is a layer of warmth that draws out the colors even more. A slight magenta tint is added to help unify photographic elements and colors; it serves as an effective backdrop for complex tattoos. See how it also helps make the shot more vivid. You can also see how much the preset has added detail to the image by looking at the increased depth in the After photo: the woman’s dress is finely textured and we can finally see the folds on her gloves. To complete the look, a vignette frame and draws attention to the subject.

Keeps Details in the Foreground

Focus on the Art. This specialized Tattoo Artist preset also works well with a modern art that is similar in aesthetic: street art. Both demand bold lines and colors that stand out and cut through all the visual noise of various urban scenes. They are after all meant to be vibrant and loud. The street art above, for example, becomes more detailed in the After photo, as though it is drawn from the background. It is now given emphasis and significance. This is, of course, coupled with the enhanced tattoo colors on the man’s arms. Notice, too, how there are more textures in the After photo. This preset thus works just as well for featuring body paint and other colorful forms of modern art.

Brightens to Reveal Textures

See more of your tattoo. In the After photo, the black tattoo on the man’s arm appears clearer, more detailed, even inkier. It is more attractive now, compared to the washed-out look in the original photo. This is the effect of combined increases in blacks, shadows, and saturation. This is a look that can be applied to various scenes; with this free Tattoo Artist preset, you can experiment with more photographic details in indoor and outdoor shots. This is a filter that is sure to intensify visual elements that matter, and even the overall mood of an image.
