Honey Taste is a free Lightroom preset that tones images with radiant golden hues. This artistic preset adds dazzling intensity to the unsaturated colors that make way for sweet honey hues. The stylistic sepia-like approach will give photographs a timeless ambiance and an artistic motif. Use this to transform your photos into a work of art.
This preset is versatile enough for any type of photography and will look stunning regardless of lighting conditions. It is, however, most ideal for portraits and captures that are rich in color and texture. The preset draws out these visual elements and presents them with its distinct almost-monochromatic style. You can use it as a filter for casual Instagram shots or even in professional settings.
Optimizes Vibrance and Saturation for Vivid Golds
Honey Tones. This Honey Taste preset first sets the base for its sweet aesthetic. It starts by increasing the picture’s warm temperature. It then decreases the vibrance and saturation of the original colors, which will later be tinted with golden hues.
To boost the tones and give the entire scene its needed intensity, the preset sets the tone curve to a strong contrast setting. It further amplifies clarity so that mid-tones would appear deep and crisp.
As a result, the After photo above now has a high-contrast golden palette. See how amazing these tweaks look on this portrait, especially on the woman’s face. Her expression looks bright, even radiant. To top it all off, the image now has a magical and unforgettable style.
If you still want to preserve some color along with the golden hues, we highly recommend that you try our versatile gold preset.
Tints for an Added Vintage Feel
Modernized Class. The sepia tint became popular in the early days of film both for form and function. The reddish-brown hues added a splash of color to monochromatic images. The chemical they used to tone black-and-white images back then also helped preserve. It is, therefore, appropriate to say that, in every sense, the sepia look truly is timeless.
Although inspired by this monochrome treatment, Honey Taste preset still fuses this vintage motif with modern visual preferences. It remains reminiscent of sepia tones as it coats images with a light layer of magenta. Then it adds its own modern take: high contrast tones, warm browns in the highlights, and a tinge of orange in the shadows.
Tones and Warms Whites
Soft Whites. To complement the overall look, the preset also softens highlights and emphasizes whites. You can compare the result of this adjustment in the above After photo; notice the difference in intensity and warmth on the woman’s white top and the walls behind her.
The result somehow gives an impression that this picture was taken during the golden hour. With this look, the image appears more sophisticated and, all in all, captivating.
Draws Out and Sharpens Textures
Sharp Details. Honey Taste golden hour preset also improves the textures of your pictures. It sharpens details so that you get enjoy more of the elements in the image. This goes hand in hand with the preset’s vivid contrasts — with this improvement, both color and texture come to the fore.
Let us examine this in the After photo above. Look at how crisp the details are now on the woman’s denim jumpsuit, and how defined they look against the muted blue tones and gold hues.
As a finishing touch, Honey Taste frames the scene with vignetting. Not only does it draw your attention to the subject, but it also gives a bolder impression.
