Summernoon is a free Lightroom preset that creates a warm summer look and feel. It also optimizes tones for a cozy and relaxed atmosphere that is ideal for travel photography.
Collection: Warm Presets
Best for: Outdoor, Travel, Beaches
Style: Warm Brown, Light Green Tonal Accents, Matte
This preset is ideal for outdoor photos, especially for those with a mix of warm and cool hues. To take advantage of its sunny look, apply it to images that show much of the blue sky and sea. Your shots would get an attractive tropical vibe.
Tints Highlights and Shadows
Tropical Tones. The preset specializes in portraits and beach photos, so it sets its aesthetic accordingly. It creates its color motif by tinting both ends of the tonal spectrum; it is not simply an adjustment in the color temperature slider. Summernoon adds a warm brown tone in highlights and light green in shadows. In the example above, try to examine how it blends these hues to create its unique summer aesthetic.
You can use this preset as a cohesive Instagram filter. It can set a consistent motif throughout all your vacation photos, or even your entire social media feed. If you intend to set a visual identity, this is definitely a preset to consider.
Soft Matte. Summernoon softens tones to create a light and airy look. It does so moderately without washing out tones and colors. It lowers the intensity of highlights just enough to reduce some glare and reveal details. The preset also softens dark regions to make sure that they do not look harsh and underscore its accent brown tints.
Examine how the blue sky and sea transform in the After photo. They now have a tinge of green, which then results in complex aqua hues. Try to compare the shadows of the Before and After images as well: they look softer, and their soft browns blend more seamlessly with the overall warm style.
Lowers Clarity Levels
Light. The preset reinforces its light aesthetic by also lowering clarity levels. This adjustment particularly affects midtones. Because of it, images would look a bit flatter, which is the usual style of vintage films. The After photo above, for example, looks more retro, especially with its softened tones.
Softens Green Tones
Darker Greens. The preset subdues the intensity of the color green by specifically lowering its saturation under Lightroom’s HSL panel. As a result, trees, plants, and other greenery would look muted, pulled closer to gray tones.
You can examine this in the After photo above. Observe the trees and the grass on the sidewalk. Notice how this adjustment helps make the warm aesthetic look more cohesive; it makes the tinted tones more visible over other colors.
