Cinematic Warmth. To create its signature dramatic look, we first create its own warm urban style. We increase color temperature and add brown tones to highlights. Then, to refine the effect, we apply complex adjustments in camera calibration.
To give some cinematic feel, Quiet Street also features adds fine film grain and vignetting. Notice how the After photo above now looks like a movie set, even as the preset tries to capture the eerie feel of an empty urban space. As you will see in the examples below, Quiet Street further refines these adjustments by applying more tweaks in color intensity and tone.
You can already examine the results in the After photo above. What was once a gloomy street now give off a bright look and feel. It gives a complex impression of liveliness and mystery. From a regular snapshot, the resulting image now looks compelling; it is like a journalistic photo of an empty street.
Brightens Tones Without Losing Detail

To create this effect, Quiet Street brightens both light and dark regions. It only lowers the intensity of highlights to preserve some surface details. All of these tones are further refined in the tone curve. We make sure that you get a compelling blend of tones.

Vivid Hues. We refine the preset’s color adjustments by increasing clarity and vibrance. Then, to keep a more natural look, we lower saturation levels as well. Look at how the color tweaks blend together to produce a vibrant yet natural style.
Quiet Street applies more complex adjustments in hue using the tone curve. It creates a strong contrast using it, thereby broadening the range. In the example above, look at the effect on the buildings and pavement. The colors in the After photo now look deep and more complex, which is a suitable aesthetic for an urban scene.
