The image above is instantly suffused with warmth as its colors are softened. Because of this, too, the After photo now appears more unified, and generally more tender.
A brownish magenta tint coats the image. To add to the classic feel, saturation is also increased, along with warm brown tones in the highlights and shadows. The vast sky in the background is close to sepia this gives the photo a vintage appeal.
This romantic preset draws out the emotions of the moment, making it ideal for wedding photography. The result is clearly more dramatic and tender. Although soft and muted, it does not compromise on the details: the man’s beard looks even sharper now.
There is a specific decrease in the saturation of cool colors. Look at how this affects the field and the sky in the After photo above, particularly the blue and green hues. To balance this out, the luminance of warm colors is increased, as is most evident in the couple’s clothing.
For its timeless appeal, this preset is partial to warm tones, too; these are accentuated while cool hues are significantly desaturated. See how the blue pillows above are subdued into a cool gray. The overall temperature of the photo now underscores the subject and the romantic mood.
Notice how the added upper shadows give the image an ethereal afterglow. This serves as an ideal backdrop to the photo’s well defined elements — there are finer details now thanks to an increase in sharpening: the rocks and the beach look coarser, the folds on the fabric more defined, and the hair strands more apparent.
