Sets a Tropical Feel
Tropical Warmth. Paradise Dream initially sets the tropical atmosphere by improving the fundamental elements of the photo. For this, it warms the color temperature and slightly increases the exposure. As you can observe in the example above, these settings create a sunlit look and a relaxing summer vibe.
To further enhance this feel, the preset lightens colors and creates a pastel motif. It lowers the contrast, vibrance, and saturation. These are later tweaked individually, per color, to produce a more complex look.
Let us examine the result in the After photo above. Notice how the colors now look soft and warm, and how they blend so well with the preset’s enhanced shades of teal.
Makes Tones Look Light and Sunny
Light Tones. The preset produces an attractive matte texture and it does so by significantly lowering the brightness of highlights. You can easily notice its effect on the bright areas of the image above, particularly on the sky. This tweak helps preserve a lot of detail, too. The clouds remain defined even with the softened colors.
Paradise Dream lightens shadows to make sure that none of them would look harsh against its tender aesthetic. It also adds a warm gray tint on them; it serves as a subtle accent that matches the overall tropical style.
Creates a Light Orange and Teal Look
Pastel Summer. You can consider this preset as the light, airy, and pastel version of the popular orange and teal look. It’s soft and warm hues beautifully complement the intricate shades teal. All colors are, after all, designed to seamlessly blend.
Paradise Dream creates these captivating colors by finely adjusting Lightroom’s HSL panel. The preset primarily sets its color motif under Hue: it makes warm colors more orange and cool colors more teal. It then lightens these artistic hues individually under Saturation.
Finally, the preset enhances the sunlit look and feel by tweaking color luminance. It adds brilliance to its warm and cool colors in varying levels. Then, to underscore and deepen its stunning orange hues, the preset lowers its luminance.
