House Pets free Lightroom preset brilliantly brings out the characteristics of pets. It optimizes light and tone for typical home use. The preset also produces rich colors that are as vibrant as our pets themselves.
The preset highlights warm and brown tones the most. If your fur baby has these colors, you can expect them to look richly textured and shiny. On the other hand, it looks more subdued in neutral tones like gray and white. You can see more of this in the examples below.
Regardless, House Pets would make any image feel cozy, lively, and energetic. If you post (a lot of) pictures of your pets on social media, you'll be glad to know that this preset works beautifully as an Instagram filter! The vibrant tones and slightly warm temperature can help make your photos, even entire feed, look professional and cohesive.
Tip #1: Given the multitude of fur colors and patterns, you might need to tweak the contrast. Consider what is best for your pet's particular shade.
Optimizes Light and Tone for Indoor Scenes
Indoor Settings. As it is specifically designed for house pets, the preset optimizes exposure and contrast levels for indoor photography. It slightly increases exposure to make sure that animals are illuminated enough. House Pets also complements this setting by amplifying contrast, even in the tone curve. As a result, your photos get broadened and intensified tones, as you can see in the cat's photo above.
With these boosts in light and tone is, of course, an increase in sharpening. After all, texture is essential when showing off fur pattern and thickness. In the After photo above, you can see how House Pets draw out the details from the tabby's fluffy coat.
Produces a Warm and Cozy Atmosphere
Home Comfort. The preset creates the atmosphere of home by blending color temperature and tint. It begins by warming the image and increasing the levels of green tint. These two effects blend to recreate the warm and fuzzy feeling we get when we spend time with our pets at home.
To refine its overall aesthetic, House Pets also sets some custom camera calibration settings. You can examine how it blends all these in the dog's adorable portrait above. Examine how the preset coats the bright white sheets with some pastel hues.
Brightens All Tones
Bright and Lively. To fully bring out the individual features and personalities of animals, the preset brightens all tones at varying levels. This batch of settings complements the previous adjustment in exposure. Just look at the brilliant light regions and the softened shadows. They elegantly come together and define the kitten's fluffy fur. You can now see more complex gray tones as well.
Notice how these brightening adjustments accentuates the photo's playful mood. The After photo is livelier and more captivating.
Tip #2: If your pets have a lot of white in their fur, consider tweaking the highlights. Try to preserve as many details as possible when doing so.
Vibrant Expressions. To make the most of the details, House Pets preset reinforces midtones by amplifying clarity. Doing so adds significant depth and definition. Try to look at the tufts on the kitten's ears, for example. These are so detailed that you can almost feel the fuzz.
This adjustment also goes hand in hand with the intensified colors. The preset increases vibrance levels; this extracts the animals' varied color shades without overdoing it. It also saturates some colors at different intensities to produce the best colors. Case in point: the kitten's adorably pink ears, nose, and mouth.
Tip #3: If taking a picture that shows some paws: show off those toe beans! This preset will make sure that those pink tones look irresistibly squishy.
