Grand Finale

Grand Finale is a free Lightroom preset that brings out the delectable colors of food in your photos. It specializes in the most colorful and highly-anticipated part of most meals: desserts. It does make your meal’s finale look grand.

Collection: Food Presets
Best for: Food Photography, Desserts, Table Arrangements, Indoor
Style: Bright, Colorful, Clear

This dessert preset makes any dessert look as sweet and delicious as it tastes, or even more so, by making its natural hues pop. Grand Finale is the perfect filter for every foodie: from casual Instagram uploaders to restauranteurs.

Presentation is an important aspect of a dining experience; after all, we develop our appetite as soon as we see food.

Livens Up Your Photos with Some Brightening

Bright and Colorful. It is crucial to make an impression when presenting food only in pictures — it would be judged only by visual appeal! For desserts, the brighter and more colorful, the sweeter and more flavorful they seem. In the After photo above, for example, the popsicle looks vivid and bursting with berry flavor.

To help you achieve this look, Grand Finale preset boosts vibrance to add more light and color. It also fine-tunes this further by increasing highlights and muting some dark tones.

Moderates Black and White Tones

Flavorful Tones. This adjustment works together with the above brightening. Grand Finale food preset increases the whites for richer hues. This helps so much when you feature creamy or milky desserts. You can notice this improvement in the After photo above.

On the other hand, the preset also softens some black tones. This contributes to the photo’s brightening and complements the image’s overall light look and feel.

Sets a Light Tone Curve

Light and Inviting. The food preset makes the dessert presentation more inviting with an S-type bright tone curve. The result is subtle yet stunning: the After photo appears lighter and more delectable. Just look at those tasty juices. They look cooler, too.

A little decrease in clarity also helps soften some details to add to this gentle yet inviting, appeal. So if you want vivid yet light tones in your pictures, this preset will not disappoint.

Sharpens Details

Rich Textures. Just by looking at food, we can already get an impression of its texture or how it feels in the mouth. The preset considers this, too!

Grand Finale boosts sharpening to emphasize the natural details in food. Look at the After photo above, for example. With all the brightening and sharpening tweaks mentioned, you can appreciate all of that platter now. The biscuits on the sides look crisp but not overdone; the apple slices and olives look fresh; the grapes look juicy.

Try to observe the changes in the background, too, the table — these come with the presentation after all. Every element is now more colorful, and the textures are much more defined.
