Creamy Portrait

Creamy Portrait

Creamy Portrait is a free Lightroom preset that is designed to enhance portraits. It draws the eye to the subject’s face and adds an extra layer of charm to any photo with its soft, warm, hues.

The After photo is noticeably brighter because of an increase in exposure; the subject’s skin tone is lighter and there are less shadows on her face. The resulting photo is appealingly more vibrant.

There are airy-pink tones in the highlights of the photo, which you can observe on the man’s face. To complement this, the shadows are also tinted with cream tones. This combination produces a warm yet tender look that is ideal for enhancing subjects in any scene.

The increase in luminance of orange and cool hues balances elements in a photo. See the difference between the girl’s top in the above Before and After photos, along with the water and sky backdrop.

The girl’s face is more illuminated now, and her features more accentuated. The pastel-like, glow of this free preset isn’t harsh; notice how it blends well with the subject’s hair and skin. Notice, too, how the fur of her coat appears sharper.

The slight vignetting draws our attention towards the subject. Some noise in the photo is reduced, yet the shades and strands of his hair remain well-defined, as do the stripes on his shirt.

The preset’s custom tone curve adjustment also produces a fade shadow effect to give a unique, delicate, air. This emphasize a subject’s particular yet complex mood, giving any portrait depth and greater visual appeal.
