This Aged Film free Lightroom preset gives a photo a warm temp. It decreases the magenta color and adds a film look grain effect on a photo but not over saturated. It increases contrast and decreases highlights and saturation in warm tones. This preset also adds some clarity on a picture.
Collection: Warm Presets
Best for: Outdoor, Diffused Lighting, Natural Light
Style: Warm Browns, Muted Highlights, Clear
In the photo above, it is noticeable that the preset created a specific old camera Tone Curve setting that makes it look more vintage. The brown tones become more highlighted that they stand out like in the hair of the man on the photo.
The Aged Film preset is perfect in increasing shadows and whites as seen in this hanging bridge picture. It seems like the trees in the background were struck by the light from the sunset.
As you can see in the after photo, the colors are mixed in a film camera way. It can be compared into a sepia filter that adds brown hues in a picture.
Like what this preset did to brown tones, it also added split toning to blue highlights and shadows like the sky in this beach skating picture. It increased sharpening on the dark and somehow blurry areas of this photo.
You can absolutely use Aged Film as is, right out of the box. With any preset you might need to make adjustments to accommodate your specific camera, settings, lighting and subject matter.
