200 Max

200 Max is a free Lightroom preset that give your photos a vintage film flair. It has greenish tones that add a layer of calm to any scene. With its undersaturated hues, the result will also look similar to images off Polaroid or Instax cameras.

Use this 200 Max preset if you want to add a nostalgic feel to your photos. This filter works best on photos with plenty of natural light. You can try this on outdoor shots, from casual portraits to vast landscapes.

Brightens and Makes Colors Pop

Cool Bold Hues. This old film preset coats images with a layer of green tint. This, therefore, shifts the color temperature to the cool blue side. This is the effect you should go for if you want to highlight the calm and chill atmosphere in your photos. This preset will surely alter the mood in an instant.

In the After photo above for example, 200 Max preset’s cool tones help bring out the vacation feel. The water is bluer now, and the tint gives it subtle aqua tones. Notice how the water seems clearer and deeper because of it.

To make the scene even livelier, the preset boosts both exposure and contrast as well. It illuminates the scene so that you get to appreciate more details.

Enhances Retro Film Hues

Colors in Retro. It is the preset’s thorough tweaks in color that give it an authentic vintage vibe. It mutes overall color saturation and heightens the luminance of mid and yellow tones. It also softens blues a bit, to moderate the already cool green tones throughout the photo.

Notice how muted the colors are now in the After photo, particularly on the street art. This is, after all, the effect that old retro films produce: colors are undersaturated but mostly luminous.

Gives a Soft but Bold Look with Tinted Shadows

Bold Dark Tones. In addition to how well it replicates the retro film look, 200 Max preset also reproduces the authentic vintage lighting in photos. It mutes light tones, both highlights and whites, and softens shadows. This makes its green filter more apparent from light to dark hues.

In the After photo above, the woman’s clothing look undersaturated now. Both her coat and jeans look washed out in green hues. Notice how the shadows look lighter, almost in gray; even with the softening, you still get a unique bold look. The preset even adds some grain to the photo for a strong, grungy, effect.

You can try this out on your outdoor portraits. It will look great on images with varied hues. With this preset’s classic look, it will stand out in the social media or Instagram.
