Creates Warm and Complex Green Hues
Warm Greens. The preset does a great job of drawing out green hues and also applying a complex layer of it. To create this look, it warms the overall color temperature and blends it with a green tint. It then produces four graduated filters to create intricate shades and effects.

Notice how the green hues mostly appear in the bright areas of the image. In the After photo above, see how the buildings seem to emit green lights through their windows. The result now has more character than the original shot.

Crisp Hues. The preset produces bold colors without overdoing them. You can see that it processes them to look cinematic but natural. To produce this style, Fooled by Dark lowers contrast then boosts clarity and saturation. This accentuates midtones and adds depth to milder tones.
As you can see in the image above, the woman now has more complex skin tones. The darkening of the scene also enhances the mood of the photograph. You can even say that it transforms the atmosphere entirely.
Applies Color-Specific Adjustments
Warm Greens. The photo above shows the preset’s effect so well: look at the complex blending of yellow and green hues on the waterfall. Fooled by Dark, after all, applies multiple settings to produce this. The finest tweaks happen in Lightroom’s HSL panel: it makes greens dark yet vivid, yellows light and brilliant.
As a result, green tones have a warm and radiant glow. This becomes more apparent in whites and luminous areas of the image.
Adds Accents and Texture
Color and Texture. In photos with accent lighting, like the dark image above, you can notice some purplish shadows. The preset, after all, does add a purple tone in them.
